In 2005 I was gifted with a professional Nikon camera for my high school darkroom photography class. I would, by choice, spend more time taking photographs for that class than I would on other homework & responsibilities. Photography became an outlet for expression.

Later I switched to digital, allowing me to focus less on the intricacies of developing film & more on the subject of the shot itself. Through travel, I have been immersed in different cultures, environments & have been surrounded by others vastly different from myself...always with a camera by my side.

Digital photography has given me a platform to share & tell stories creatively.

By taking a moment to witness stories of both humans and non-humans without judgment, one can learn to be more empathetic, understanding, kind, & knowledgeable. Not only does this gradually improve one's own life, but it positively impacts our connections with others, our self, the planet, our individual & collective health, animals, & the future.

I hope one or more of these photos inspire you on your journey!
